Trout Fishing on the Scottish Islands
Maps and Information on Trout Fishing Lochs on the Scottish Islands
It might take several lifetimes for even the most enthusiastic and energetic fisherman to explore a fraction of the trout and salmon fishing available on the Scottish Islands. The Scottish Islands contain hundreds, perhaps thousands, of trout lochs and streams, with a fishing flavour all of their own. There are the rich Machair lochs of Uist; the countless wild lochs of Lewis and Harris; the remote lochs of Shetland; or the fertile waters of Orkney. Most of the fishing is accessible to the visiting angler for a few pounds, sometimes none at all. A veritable fishing paradise!
Detailed maps of specific Scottish trout fishing areas can be accessed from the drop-down menus at the top of this website.
Further information, photographs etc. for each area can be viewed at www.trout-salmon-fishing.com (suitable for viewing on larger screens such as desktops). Below is a list of links to the relevant pages for the trout fishing on the various Scottish Islands, with the focus on loch fishing.
